Whether you’re looking for the perfect patio for a sunset drink or closing out the ski season, we have tips to make the most of sunny spring days.
Beaver Creek
Wrap up your ski day with Thursday Night Lights. Join the weekly tradition of a ski-down with glow batons, followed by a fireworks display over the mountain. This beloved activity continues through March 30th, with registration at Children’s Ski School at 7:00pm followed by upload on the Haymeadow Express Gondola at 7:30pm.
Boulder
After a day on the trails or the slopes, kick back for a drink and a delicious snack. Avanti Food & Beverage hosts Avanti Après Monday-Friday from 2:00-6:00pm and all day on Sundays. Enjoy drink specials including $6 house wines, $4 for select local beers and seltzers, and enjoy a variety of food options from vendors at the well-known food hall in downtown Boulder.
Colorado Springs
ViewHouse offers a rooftop patio and expansive deck, perfect for soaking up spring sunshine and gorgeous views of Pikes Peak. With over 150 local items on the menu, this eatery celebrates Colorado ingredients. They have a Happy Hour menu Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00pm with great deals on specialty cocktails such as the Strawberry Matcha. The popular Wine & Board option is perfect for sharing, with a bottle of wine and flatbread of choice.
Crested Butte
To celebrate the end of the season, Crested Butte Mountain Resort hosts a Pond Skim competition on April 1st. Skiers and snowboarders try to float the farthest distance across a man-made pond to the delight of spectators. Dress to impress, as prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Splash, and Best Style.
Denver
On the rooftop of Le Meridien Denver, 54thirty is the Mile High City’s highest open-air bar. Enjoy panoramic vistas of downtown Denver, sleek décor, craft cocktails, and a menu of shareable plates.
Elevated, the rooftop bar and restaurant above the Halcyon Hotel in Cherry Creek offers gorgeous views of the Rocky Mountains to be savored alongside seasonal cocktails, craft beers, and inspired bites.
Fort Collins
Eldora Resort hosts the Trick Ditch Banked Slalom event, with snowboarders competing for the fastest time down a high-walled luge course. The Eldora Music Series also continues on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through April 16th with entertainment from Pistol Pete, Flash Mountain Flood, Rolling Harvest, and more.
Golden
New Terrain Brewing hosts Music by the Mesa, with live bands each Thursday from 6:00-9:00pm. Bands include Chris Thompson and Friends, Elle Michelle’s Grateful Holler, and Cool Shade. They offer an impressive list of craft beers, including seasonal offerings, and a rotating schedule of food trucks.
Grand County
Winter Park has a wide variety of après activities this spring, including Cosmic Night Tubing for the whole family. Tube on the snow under neon lights from 5:00-7:00pm each Friday evening through March 31st. The BigWonderful BeerFest & Bluegrass returns on April 1st with music from Head for the Hills, Martin Gilmore Band, and the Fretliners. Sample beers and ciders from over 30 local vendors.
Summit County
Copper Mountain hosts Copper Live, with live music on Saturdays from 3:30-5:00pm. Kick back after your ski day and enjoy live music at Eagles Landing in the Center Village.
Breckenridge hosts numerous spring on-mountain events, from DJ performances to the legendary pond skim. With the incredible snowfall that Colorado resorts have received this winter, Breckenridge has not yet announced dates and times for end-of season events yet.
Telluride
The Cardboard Sled Derby is a fundraiser on March 25th for the One to One Mentoring Program in Telluride. Check-in is at 9:00am and the race kicks off at 10:30am at the NASTAR race hill. Advance online pre-registration is required. Whether you are competing or cheering on participants, this is a fun community event.
Vail
Après at the Amp on April 7th-8th in Vail with a line-up that includes Polo & Pan, Big Gigantic, Lewis Ofman, and other acts. This two-day music festival at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater is part of the Spring Après Series, which includes village and on-mountain music in late March and April.
