Welcome Kara Wetherill to the LIV SIR Team

At LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, our people make the difference and we are excited to expand the team with the newest addition of real estate professional, Kara Wetherill. Learn more about her and why she joined the LIV family:

What are you most excited about, with joining LIV Sotheby’s International Realty? Some of my best transactions have been with Sotheby’s agents on the other side who have always impressed me with their knowledge and professionalism. What I’m most excited about though is working for a world-class brand with some of the biggest movers and shakers in the industry. I’ve been so inspired by the top producers at LIV Sotheby’s International Realty and to be working alongside them now is an honor.

What’s your favorite part about guiding your client through the real estate experience? Buying or selling a home is often the mark of a meaningful chapter in someone’s life. Whether it’s purchasing their first home, buying a larger home for their expanding family, selling the home they raised their kids in, or purchasing an investment property to create an alternative money stream, these are impactful milestones for clients. I love taking my client’s step by step through the process to help alleviate stress and reduce the possibility of surprises, but most importantly I love helping them realize their goals and dreams to reach those milestones.

What’s your favorite home trend right now? I have two at the moment and they are basically the antithesis of each other. One is high gloss lacquer paint, but it definitely has to be executed in the right way. I love it in a smaller space like an office, bar, or powder room. The other is the wabi-sabi trend that has been around for centuries but seems to be becoming more popular recently. Wabi-sabi is centered around the beauty of natural imperfection and simplicity. Think natural stone vessels, aged wood accents, and washed linen fabrics.
