At LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, our people make the difference! Learn more about one of our remarkable brokers, Erika Eschberger, in her personal Q&A.
How long have you been in the real estate industry for? I’ve been in real estate for a year and a half now. Before that, I was a stay at home mom for 14 years to five wonderful children.
What initially drew you to the real estate industry? Well, my husband and I invested a lot into real estate back in Texas. When I moved to Colorado and saw how hot the market was/is I said that I needed to become apart of this industry.
What has been your biggest accomplishment in your career? My biggest accomplishment has been stepping outside of the box and moving out of my comfort zone. After staying at home for so long and then going back to work, I’m proud of myself and what I have accomplished.
What makes LIV Sotheby’s International Realty unique? The history and heritage of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand evokes a sense of true love for real estate.
What is a trend that you are keeping your eye on right now in the industry? Honestly, it’s the investing side of real estate. My own home gained $70,000 in equity in one year proving that the market is hot in Colorado Springs.
Personally, what drives you in this industry? Whenever I get a rush similar to that feeling of a home closing. Seeing and feeling all that great energy from everyone, it makes me have even more momentum to keep doing what I love.
What are you passionate about? I’m passionate about my life with my five kids and husband. On top of that, my awesome career in real estate; you really can have it all!
What are your hobbies/interests outside of the office? Summertime activities such as hiking, swimming and traveling.
What’s your favorite part about living and working in Colorado? When I drive from Colorado Springs to go to the office in Castle Rock, I’m able to look out at the beautiful mountains and think to myself, how did I get so lucky? The drive for me never gets old.
What community do you live in? What do you like about it? I live in Colorado Springs. I’m located in one of the most up-and-coming neighborhoods near downtown. This area is filled with historical homes dating back to the 1800s and it is really neat seeing this area turning so fast.
