For the fifth year running, EMC will host its annual fundraiser, this year, at the Artwork Network gallery, from 7:00-9:30pm. The venue sets the perfect backdrop for an evening of art, libations and a silent auction and will feature local Denver art with mediums ranging from paint to sculpture and more.

Postlethwait attended last years’ Art is in the Air event and was moved by the amount of hard work that went into the event behind the scenes from the director and her board, and decided to become a sponsor.

“Artwork Network seeks out community leaders to promote events. The location is fantastic, and you are surrounded by talent from local Denver residents. That sense of community is meaningful when trying to raise awareness for those in need,” said Postlethwait, “and I wanted to support it.”

Extreme Community Makeover is a non-profit that targets specific neighborhoods that need repair or a makeover. “The reality is, there are several blocks in our city that have homeowners that are not physically or financially capable of the upkeep on their homes,” said Postlethwait. ECM finds these people, puts a team together, and in a day, transform their home free of charge.”

A valued broker at Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty, Postlethwait is no stranger to community involvement. For every transaction Postlethwait closes, he dedicates a minimum of $500 to one of three Denver-based charities in his clients’ name. “I feel like community involvement is just as important as my job. FSIR has incredible strength in its name, and people are encouraged to know that with that force come people who want to make a difference in their community,” said Postlethwait.

15% of proceeds from artwork purchased from the main gallery of the Art Network website from October 14 – December 14 will benefit the EMC project. The event is located in the Art District on Santa Fe, located at 878 Santa Fe Drive, Denver. Appetizers, drinks and dessert are included in ticket price which is $25 advanced, or $30 at the door.
