Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty Maximizes Global Network in London

Vanessa Schwartzel with Sotheby's broker colleagues in London.

When Vanessa Schwartzel, a broker in the Edwards, Colo., office of Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty, traveled to Europe to meet colleagues, she realized just what the term “global reach” means in today’s real estate world.

“I went to London and Paris to maximize Sotheby’s global network. I wanted to meet peers and learn about their markets, and educate them about ours,” Schwartzel said. “My experience reinforced Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty’s brand promise about global influence. Those aren’t just words.”

Schwartzel visited Sotheby’s real estate offices in London and Paris and shared bi-lingual presentations about the beauty of the Vail Valley area, the superb quality of its properties and the benefits of investing in Colorado’s resort real estate market.

The brand consistency between Colorado’s Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty and Sotheby’s International Realty operations was impressive, Schwartzel said.

“There was such symmetry in the caliber of our properties and theirs, as well as the commitment to superior client service. I would say Vail stands shoulder to shoulder with London and Paris in terms of pricing, quality, service and the expectations of discerning clients,” she explained.

Schwartzel did mention one often-notable difference between American and international properties.

“In the Vail Valley, we are selling properties that are 30 to 40 years old at most. In France or England, they may be selling a 16th century estate with its own chapel,” she said.

Schwartzel also visited the famed Sotheby’s auction houses in London and Paris and learned there is often a direct business connection their business and real estate transactions.

“I was told it is not uncommon for a client to buy a Picasso and a London flat in the same visit,” she said.
