As Seen In The New York Times | Cherrydale Contemporary Listed At $1.4 Million

Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty’s five-bedroom, four-bath contemporary at 4230 S. Bellaire Circle, Cherry Hills Village, CO was featured in the New York Times today. The property values article entitled, “What You Get For…$1,400,000” sheds light on the luxury housing market in three distinct areas of the country.

Other homes mentioned in the piece include a two-bedroom condominium in San Francisco’s Nob Hill, and a four-bedroom, three-bath house with two one-bedroom cabins on a 60 acre lot in Cedartown, GA. It’s no secret which one is our favorite. Below, an excerpt from the article.

WHAT: A five-bedroom four-bath contemporary
HOW MUCH: $1,400,000
SIZE: 4,865 square feet
SETTING: Cherry Hills Village is a residential community 12 miles from Downtown Denver. This house is in a neighborhood called Cherrydale, 32 houses on a no-outlet loop, set between two city parks and a hike-and-bike path along the High Line Canal, which winds through several cities. Architecture in Cherry Hills Village ranges from prewar Tudors to large new houses on multiacre lots. The district’s public schools are highly regarded: in 2012, 15 were commended by the State Department of Education.

INDOORS: The two-story contemporary was built in 1978 and renovated in 2010. It has rooftop solar panels on a long-term lease — a feature that costs $90 a month but keeps energy costs down to about $20 a month, often less, the listing agent said. First-floor common areas include a living room, a kitchen and a great room with high pitched ceilings, skylights and sliding glass doors to a pool and patio. Each of the rooms has a fireplace; the kitchen and great room have Brazilian cherry floors. Stainless-steel appliances in the kitchen were installed during the renovations along with Caesarstone countertops, quarter-sawn oak cabinets and a bamboo breakfast bar with a walnut inlay. The master bedroom suite, which has two walk-in closets, is on the first floor, along with two other bedrooms. The fourth and fifth bedrooms are upstairs, as is a family room with a fireplace, and an office with skylights and built-in bookshelves.

OUTDOOR SPACE: The house is on just over a half-acre.
TAXES: $8,954 a year
