Denver Housing Market “Smoking Hot” According To Denver Business Journal

Denver Business Journal reports increasing sales prices and near-record volume of sales in a recent article stating, “A trio of monthly housing reports Wednesday all paint a picture of a smoking-hot residential real estate market for metro Denver.” The data, acquired from Metrolist Inc. sheds light on the market’s upswing, reporting a 46% increase in sales from February, and a 20% increase when compared to March 2012. Off the tail of a nine month streak of increasingly low inventory levels, buyer demand ensues as the market continues to strengthen. Historical data indicates the month of March, as the lowest inventory level in 28 years, driving sales price and creating a frenzied market for buyers, yet good news for sellers.
