The Finest Tie in the World – Sette Italian Neckware

A status symbol for stylish men in-the-know, the Sette line of fine Italian silk neckties is having a major fashion moment. From dapper men-about-town, to fashion-forward business women and high-ranking officials, Sette ties are donning the necks of the world’s foremost power players.

“Sette” Italian for seven, is a moniker that nods to the sophisticated production technique of folding silk onto itself seven times, giving these handcrafted neckties their trademark heft, producing an undeniably elegant appearance. The Sette line was born by Founder Peter Watkins, after his six years of working in the White House.

Watkins took note of the ties worn by foreign dignitaries during his travels. “I originally had the idea for Sette when I was working for President Bush,” Watkins told Capitol File Magazine back in June 2012. “On an official trip to Italy, I was introduced to the personal tie-maker to Prime Minister Berlusconi, and my eyes were opened to an entirely new echelon of neckties.”

Hand-folded and hand-stitched from the finest AAA quality silk, Sette finishes each accessory with a bar tack to hold the seven folds together, and slip stitched down the blade so that the tie can breathe, move and recover between wears. No other tie in the world can claim the quality, time-honored tradition, and finishing craftsmanship that goes into each Sette necktie.

The perfect gift for the man in your life or the lady with an edge, a collection of Sette ties are a luxurious addition to any wardrobe. Pictured left, Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty Marketing Director Meagan Griesel embraces the trend.
